Conflict and cooperation in Latin America: An analysis through Neorealism

Abstract

The paper presents an analysis of the power structure in Latin America based on the theory of neorealism and the tendency of the region to have conflict or cooperation. This is focused on the role of Nation-State and the other international actors that have emerged in the context of globalization. This article also seeks to analyze the hierarchy of power and the equilibrium that is produced in Latin America, through the study of power capacities of the Latin American countries.
