Abstract

This article aims to identify the conceptual and legal differences between displaced person and refugee in the context of the problems generated in the Colombian border with Ecuador, Venezuela and Panama; with the objective of understanding the current situation of the people who must leave their homes and cross the Colombian border in search of safety. In order to achieve this it analyses the current state of border migration, international relations with the countries concerned and the rules and institutions involved in the phenomenon.
