Trends of political behavior in post-authoritarian Chile. A bibliographic discussion
Main Article Content
Abstract
The article provides a critical discussion on the main research articles that study, directly or tangentially, the trends of political behavior in contemporary Chile, with particular emphasis on those that analyze the dynamics of national electoral behavior and the subjective ties of citizenship with political institutions during the last three decades. Thus, the topic of discusión will be the impact on political and electoral behavior of complex social phenomena, such as the formation of political generations, the socio-demographic distribution of attitudes towards politics and party identification, the formation of new political subjectivities promoted by changes in the social structures of the country, and the rise of disaffection, together with economistic perspectives that inquire into the effects of information cost and electoral spending on the country's voters
