Main Article Content
Abstract
The ethnic discourse and the actions that helped to empower the traditions and ancestral knowledge in the community of Libertad, in Montes de María, are manifestations of decolonial thought and its counterhegemonic position, which allow building experiences of peace, in an alternate way to the notion of liberal peace based on modern colonial logic. Therefore, this reflection article uses a critical hermeneutical methodology based on decolonial criteria to re-interpret the experiences of peace in the said community to validate the applicability of decolonial thought in the discourses that underlie peace, thus try to answer conflicts rooted in the imprint of the coloniality of power.
